South Australia reopens its borders
South Australia has reopened its borders. Anyone planning to travel to South Australia from interstate and overseas, including returning South Australians, will need to apply through EntryCheck SA. The SA Government has prepared a COVID-Ready Plan which outlines the safe easing of restrictions and how COVID-19 will be managed in South Australia.

Managing COVID in the workplace
With the border restrictions being lifted for the vaccinated from tomorrow, COVID cases are expected to re-emerge within the community – do you have a plan in place for managing the various COVID related issues that may arise within your workplace? ASGA held a webinar on the 4th of November which offered general advice on managing COVID in the workplace. A summary of the presentation and link to the webinar recording can be accessed here.
The webinar covers:
- Introduction
- Public Health Orders – rules to be followed
- Where Public Health Orders don’t apply and Work Health & Safety – Acts that apply nationally and per state
- FairWork Commission
- Privacy issues regarding health records
- FAQs
ASGA strongly urges all members to consider their own business situation and how changes to border restrictions – in particular where no current COVID cases apply – may impact on their business activities and their WHS responsibilities.
If you have any specific questions regarding what the reopening of borders may mean for your business, we suggest contacting the dedicated SA information line 1800 253 787 (8:00 am to 8:00 pm, 7 days).
