It’s a proven formula for fun – barefoot bowls after work, with colleagues from around the industry. In late November, groups in South Australia and Western Australia enjoyed the final two events in the ASGA Social Bowls Series for 2025, with plenty of keen competition and networking over drinks and nibbles.

Rain unfortunately interrupted the event in Perth, leading to a slight drop in numbers from the 38 registered and limiting numbers and time on the greens, but ASGA WA Chair Wade French reports it was still a fantastic night for catching up with industry colleagues and forging new friendships.

By contrast, the Adelaide event was blessed with a perfect evening, and 38 bowlers enjoyed a program of friendly competition headed by Ian Hayes from Spandex. The event was won by the team from Icon Signs – plus Brad from ORAFOL – with a performance even more noteworthy considering they made a 10-hour round trip to attend the event.
