450+ Awards Entries Demonstrate Strength of Industry
More than 450 entries across 25 categories were received for the 2026 Easy Signs National Sign & Graphics Awards, demonstrating the continued strength and innovation of sign and graphics businesses in Australia, says the Australian Sign & Graphics Association (ASGA).
The Awards, which are held every two years, were established 20 years ago to recognise and reward achievement, promote and encourage skills and craftsmanship, and affirming excellence in technologies and products across modern, digital and traditional signage.
Founded by ASGA in 2005, the Awards has been held every second year since 2006 to recognise and reward sign companies nationally for the achievement of excellence, and to showcase the wonderful array of talent within our industry – celebrating modern, digital and traditional signage.
This year, more than 450 entries have been received across 25 categories, which span everything from digital media; to fabricated, engraved and digitally printed signs; vehicle wraps, and traditional sign craft.
Training innovation, sustainability, project management and installation will also be recognised, as will new talent with the Young Star award, the coveted ‘Best in Show’ award, and the People’s Choice Award, which will be voted on by visitors to Visual Impact Expo in Sydney in September.
ASGA President Mick Harrold, says it is pleasing to see the engagement of industry businesses in the Awards competition.
“The Awards provide an important platform for businesses to benchmark their business against the best in the industry, review and evaluate their business processes and achievements, and to promote their brand and building profile with customers and key industry stakeholders,” Mick says.
“The entries we’ve received for the ASGAs this year are outstanding – some of the best we have ever received – so our expert Judging Panel will really have their work cut out for them when judging commences next week,” he adds.
Judging for the Awards is an exacting process, with a team of 27 judges who provide a wide range of expertise that informs the judging of the 25 separate Awards categories. Panels are convened to ensure relevant expertise to the category, and to ensure that there are no conflicts of interest.
Following the first round of judging, in which a short list of potential finalists is prepared, a second, more intensive examination of each of the shortlisted entries is conducted to determine the finalists and category winners.
Then, there is a final round of judging, where the combined panel pick the ‘Best in Show’ award from all the Gold Medal Winners.
The only Award not judged by this expert panel is the People’s Choice Award. This will be voted on by visitors to Visual Impact Expo 2026 in September, where all the entries will be displayed on the exhibition floor under The Dome at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.
Winners will receive their trophies at the Awards Gala Presentation Dinner, which will be held at the Showgrounds precinct, on the evening of Thursday 3 September.
Registrations have just opened for the Gala Presentation Dinner, which is widely regarded as the premier event on the industry calendar. Individual tickets are $230 + GST, with tables of ten available at $2,300 + GST.
