ASGA to Run Full Program On-Stand at Visual Impact

The Australian Sign & Graphics Association has released an exciting program of events which will run from its stand at the upcoming Visual Impact Expo, from 2-4 September at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.

ASGA will have a significant presence at the show, based on Stand I13, where the ASGA team will be on-hand to meet with signage businesses, and run a series of sessions to deliver important information about the new training and upskilling opportunities the association has introduced recently, and to connect with potential partners for installation and other services.

Wednesday 2 September 2026:

  • 2:00PM: The Future of Apprenticeship Education, presented by BuildSkills and the ASGA. BuildSkills is the National Government authority in charge of implementing and maintaining our Certificate III in Signwriting. We are currently in the process of a long-awaited review – come along and have your say on the changes you would like to see included in the Certificate III update.
  • 4:00-6:00PM: Meet the Signage Installers – an informal meet and greet over drinks. Installation companies seeking Sign Companies to undertake services for and Sign Companies seeking new Installation Partners, come along and get to know who is in the market.

Thursday 3 September 2026:

  • 10:00AM: Signage Education Short Courses – an introduction to the International Sign Association’s online short courses, available to ASGA Members. Presented by ASGA.
  • 11:00AM: Signage Building Licensing Explained, presented by CI Advantage and the ASGA. The seemingly complex National requirements  for licencing required to install signs explained simply.

On these two days, visitors to the show can also view the entries for the 2026 Easy Signs National Sign & Graphics Awards on Stand J2-J5 and cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award, which will be presented at the ASGA Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday night.

This biennial event is not only a chance to see a showcase of the very best signage projects completed over the past two years, but to recognise the achievements of industry businesses, and celebrate with colleagues, clients and industry peers. The Gala Dinner will be held in Events Hall 2A at the Sydney Showground, which is adjacent to The Dome where the expo is running, with entry from Riverina Avenue.

The night will be capped off by the ASGA Awards After Party which will commence at 10:30PM at the Locker Room Rooftop Terrace. This is a ticketed event, with details and registration on the Current Events page at signs.org.au

“Visual Impact Expo, and the Awards celebrations, are a fantastic opportunity for businesses to learn more about how ASGA can support their business and the wider industry, while also seeing the very latest technologies and innovations on the show floor,” says Damian Nielsen, Membership & Events Manager for ASGA.

“I would encourage anyone who can to take the opportunity to come to the Sydney Showground during the week, make sure you take advantage of the show, register for the Awards and check out the fantastic program running next door at Connect Conference 2026, with a line-up of big names and industry leaders.

“This event is the best opportunity you’ll have for at least the next 12 months to see the latest, share ideas with industry peers, identify new business opportunities, and equip yourself for success. We look forward to seeing you there,” Damian says.
